Questions
How do I convert CBSE CGPA to percentage?
Multiply the CGPA by 9.5. A CGPA of 8.6 is about 8.6 × 9.5 = 81.7%. CBSE introduced this as an indicative conversion; the factor 9.5 came from the average of the top scores.
Does every university use 9.5?
No. Many use 9.5, some use 10, and some have their own formula such as (CGPA − 0.75) × 10. Always use the formula printed on your marksheet or in your university's rules.
How is the percentage of marks calculated?
Percentage = Marks obtained ÷ Total marks × 100. For 425 out of 500, that is 85%.
