Questions
How do I convert km/l to l/100 km?
Divide 100 by the km/l figure: 15 km/l = 100 ÷ 15 = 6.67 l/100 km. The same formula converts back.
Why is mpg different in US and UK reviews?
The UK gallon is about 20% bigger than the US gallon, so the same car shows a higher UK mpg. 1 km/l = 2.352 US mpg = 2.825 UK mpg.
Why do the table values not change evenly?
km/l and l/100 km are inverses, so the relationship is a curve: going from 5 to 10 km/l saves far more fuel than going from 20 to 25 km/l.
