Questions

What is passport photo size in pixels?

The common Indian passport-size photo is 35 × 45 mm. At 300 dpi (print quality) that is 413 × 531 pixels, which is what the passport preset gives you. Always check the exact size your form or studio asks for.

What does “Crop to fill” do?

If the new shape is different from your photo (for example a wide photo made square), “Crop to fill” trims the edges equally so there are no borders. “Fit with border” keeps the whole photo and adds a coloured border, and “Stretch” squeezes it to fit.

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?

No. The image is opened and processed on a canvas inside your browser. Nothing is sent to any server, so it works even offline once the page has loaded.
